The site enables freelancers and companies to more easily find opportunities to sell goods and services to governments and publicly-funded organizations.

Currently, there is no one place to find all of the notices published by public sector organizations in Canada. In addition, many of these organizations choose to publish different tender notices in different places, making it especially difficult for interested vendors, to keep track of them.

RFP.ca is working to solve this issue by tracking the daily notices published by over 600 hundred of these organizations, across hundreds of websites.

Notices are then aggregated, filtered, and structured into an easily searchable database. Users can also browse the listings to find results from a specific organization (a-z index, with individual organization profiles), a geographic location (city or province), or a specific category (currently includes Construction, Goods, Services, and Unspecified).

Additional features for users currently include the ability to create custom e-mail alerts from their searches, save their custom searches, create custom RSS fees, and save and note individual items they find to a personal archive.

Going forward, the site will continue to increase the number of organizations it tracks, with the ultimate goal of providing results for all public sector organizations in Canada.
